Weekend Outing: Brooklyn Bowl!!!!!

So the other night the homies & I attempted to bowl at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, BK. Well we never actually got to hit any pins but we still had a blast!!

That place was sooo packed our estimated waiting time to bowl was 5 hours.......blankstare......exactly!

So we just made the best of the situation and got drunk! LOL!! JOKE!!!!

No but seriously we decided to enjoy some good food and call it a night. The food at Brooklyn Bowl is prepared by the chefs of Blue Fin! So if you know like I know that means it's serious!
Look at these greedy messes lmao! I luv it!!

Hey O!!!You all already know this guy!! ;)

Here's some pics of what we feasted on.....

mmmmm & some ribs!!!!!

If you're ever looking for an awesome bowling alley with a great vibe and delicious food I definitely recommend Brooklyn Bowl...

Boxing Kitten = A Fashion Carnival!!!

Recently I've been in a bit of a slump over not being abe to accompany my mother, brother, sister-in-law, grandmother and countless friends to Trinidad for our annual Carnival festivities that are taking place as I type!!!!! >:(

I truly had my hopes up for making this year - 2010 Carnival- a huge deal. Like a big family reunion with everyone squeezing into my mother's house in Arouca Gardens, with endless noise and laughter for about a week straight.

Well..... those dreams quickly faded as reality set in and I realized that the festivities would be happening without me this year.

But I sorta feel like my longing to participate in Carnival was somehow manifested in the video treatment for Alicia Keys & Beyonce's new single "Put It In a Love Song".

These divas decided to have a Carnival themed video with lots of bright colors, bold prints and fun in the Brazilian sun!

When I saw the outfits that my girls were rocking in the video I couldn't help but cheer up a bit!

Check these out:

pretty in purple!! gorgeous in green!!

So of course I had to do some investigating into who was responsible for these visual delicacies and I found out that a talented Go-Getter Girl by the name of Mya Lake creates these bold one of a kind garments that "motivate the spirit".
Her line is called Boxing Kitten and you can take a look at more of her work on her website!

Here are some of our favorite trend setting celebrities rocking Mya's designs: Fergie, Fatima, Beyonce & Eryka Badu

DJ Rasheeda, Solonge & Beyonce

DJ Rasheeda is actually a good friend of Mya's and has been rocking her designs for quite some time now!

Seems like the perfect attire for this concrete jungle we live in!

In Mya's own words:

"If you take the patterns and very feminine silhouettes of women from the Civil Rights and then put those dresses in African inspired prints and fabric then you have the Boxing Kitten woman"!

I am in LOVE with this stuff. Gotta get my hands on some NOW!! ((working on it))

p.s. remember when a little birdy did a blog on the Christian Louboutins that were sure to be one of the hottest pair this spring/summer: Get into Alicia's shoes in this flick!

TOLD YA SO!! :p

Sweeeeeeet!!!!!

So this past Friday my girlfriend Clarissa and I stopped into Henri Bendel to the MAC counter for some free make-up consulations (offered for a limited time). While there I noticed that the legendary boutique had made some changes since my last visit. The most noticable change was that they will no longer be selling clothing. Crazy right!! I know.... from here on out they will only have accessories (of the best quality of course) as well as the many peices offered in their signature line.

SB: they just came out with a Hendri Bendel perfume line that is awesome!

Nonetheless in the season of Valentines day there were the cutest candy dresses on display. Of course I had to snap some fliks on the blackberry so I could share these with you guys.

Check them out:

Sweet tarts & Marshmellows!!! YUM!
Rock candy!!

Sweeeeeeeeeet! lol

Not all the dresses were made from sweets... saome were just really creative and cool shapes made from the most unimaginable items.

Buttons & Rolls of Thread

Playing cards
This dress made from hair rollers was the best to me! :)
awesome!!
This dress made of feathers is super hot too!!

Whoever the creative minds are that came up with this is genius!! I would totally rock any of these dresses in a heartbeat! lol. Seriously!! (okay in some more practical materials of course)

Celebrity Look-a-Like week

Okay so as everyone on Facebook knows this week was Doppelgänger week which means that you were suppose to change your profile picture to someone famous (actor, musician, athlete, etc.) that you've been told you look like.

Here are the celebs that I chose:
J-Hud
(thanks Aunty B! You were the very 1st person to ever make this comparison, but since then I've been told that I look like her millions of times)

Mashonda

(I personally think that this is my closest celebrity look-alike)

Foxy Brown
(Now this I've been hearing my ENTIRE life!)

What do you guys think? Was I spot on or way off???? LOL!

So did you partake in this little game? If so who are some of the famous people that you resemble?? Read more!

Where dem Bloggers @ Where dem Bloggers @?

I'm right here Ri-Ri and I have to be honoest with you honey... I was NOT feeling that outfit you rocked during last night's Superbowl Fan Jam performance.

I just KNEW that you were gonna change wardrobe for the second half of your performance... but that hope was quickly lost when Russian Roulette began and the chair swung around with you in the same contraption. :/

Now I'm going to have to let this slide since 1 bad outfit in a million isn't a bad average. Just wanted to put that out there.... :p

Just to balance things out it's only right that I share some of my favorite looks by the hottest chick in heels right here:

This is one of my ABSOLUTE fave's looks on her!

I pretty much loved all her fits in the "So Hard" video
Those Blue Loubou's are ridicks!
